When renting a motorhome from Family Motorhome Adventure, there are some important points to note regarding fuel charges and levels:

  1. Vehicle Check-Out: Before taking the motorhome, a staff member will inspect it along with the main driver, noting the fuel level on the rental agreement.
  2. Responsibility: It is the hirer's and driver's responsibility to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as indicated on the rental agreement.
  3. Discrepancies: Any differences in fuel levels must be addressed at the time of check-out, and if necessary, the rental agreement will be updated accordingly before leaving the premises.
  4. Disputes: Fuel level disputes won't be accepted once the vehicle is off the premises or upon return.
  5. Insufficient Fuel: Failure to return the vehicle with the correct fuel level will result in re-fuelling charges at Family Motorhome Adventure's own fuel rate. This charge must be paid immediately upon returning the vehicle or swapping it.
  6. Gas and Toilet Chemical: The motorhome comes with 1 x gas bottle (not full) and a small bottle of toilet chemical. If they run out during the rental, the hirer/driver must restock them at their own expense.
  7. Inbuilt LPG Gas Tanks: Some specific models have inbuilt LPG gas tanks, which are provided with a full tank of gas. The hirer/driver must return the vehicle with a full tank of gas; otherwise, they will be charged to refill it at Family Motorhome Adventure's own LPG gas rate.

  1. Daily Charge: Additional drivers can be insured for a daily charge.
  2. Requirements: Each additional driver must have a full driving license and identification, and they can only drive the vehicle if they are added to the vehicle's insurance with written consent from Family Motorhome Adventure.

  1. Amount: A security deposit (insurance excess) of £1000 is required upon collection of the motorhome. It must be paid on the main driver's debit or credit card for security reasons, two days prior to collection at the latest.
  2. Deposit Deduction: The security deposit will be used to cover any loss, damage, or additional charges incurred during the rental period. The security deposit serves as coverage for any losses, damages, or extra charges sustained during the rental duration. Should the costs of damages or repairs surpass the deposit amount, the hirer will be responsible for covering the entire expense

Once the motorhome is returned early, no refund will be given.

  1. Negligence and Misuse: Negligence damage, overhead damage, and misuse of the vehicle are not covered by the vehicle's insurance. The hirer/driver will be responsible for the full cost of repairs in such cases.
  2. Accessories Damage: Broken or lost equipment and accessories inside and outside the motorhome are not covered by the vehicle's insurance. The driver/hirer is liable for the full cost of replacing or repairing them.
  3. Replacement Parts: Parts are charged at maker's list price, and a minimum labour rate of £50.00 plus VAT per hour applies.
  4. Authorized Repairs: Family Motorhome Adventure is the only approved repairer for their vehicles. Any repairs must be authorized in writing by Family Motorhome Adventure before being carried out.

The hirer/driver must provide their own insurance to cover personal items, belongings, and personal injury in the event of an accident.

  1. Use at Own Risk: The hirers/drivers/passengers use the vehicles, items, and services at their own risk and are liable for their safety, security, loading, etc.
  2. No Liability: Family Motorhome Adventure and their staff will not be held liable for any injuries, loss, damage, etc. The hirers/drivers are recommended to obtain their own personal accident, injury, loss, damage, holiday, and insurance excess cover.

Rental quotations are valid for 7 days, and additional charges apply for Ireland and European cover. Specific countries for travel must be stated in writing; otherwise, the vehicle cannot leave mainland UK.

The motorhomes are thoroughly cleaned before rental, and the hirer/driver is responsible for returning the vehicle in an acceptable condition. Failure to do so may result in charges applied to the security deposit. The toilet must be returned empty.

The hirer/driver is responsible for any penalties incurred during the rental period, such as speeding tickets, parking fines, and congestion charges. Family Motorhome Adventure reserves the right to make reasonable charges for their time and administration costs involved in processing fines and penalties. Charges will be deducted from the security deposit or invoiced separately.

Motorhome Family Adventure will make every effort to ensure that the reserved Motorhome is available for you at the correct time. If, due to circumstances beyond our control, this is not possible and if an alternative or acceptable Motorhome is not available our liability is limited to the refunds of all monies paid by you.

If, for unforeseen reasons, the Motorhome is not available, Family Motorhome Adventure reserves the right to offer an alternative Motorhome. If no substitute is available, they will provide a full refund of the money received. The company has the right to refuse any hire under any circumstances.

Certain restrictions apply to the purpose of hire; stag or hen parties, music festivals, or shows are not allowed. Any bookings for such events will be automatically canceled by Family Motorhome Adventure.

The company takes no responsibility for any detention, delay, loss, damage, or injury experienced by the hirer/driver during the rental period, regardless of the cause. The hirer/driver is liable for any loss or damage to the vehicle, its documents, parts, or accessories occurring during the rental.

If the vehicle becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the company's control and no alternative Motorhome can be provided, all payments will be fully refunded, and Family Motorhome Adventure will have no further liability.

It is essential for the hirer/driver to obtain extra Travel/Holiday Insurance to cover unforeseen delays, availability issues, breakdowns, and cancellations before and during the rental period. Contents insurance or goods in transit insurance should be obtained separately as it is not included in the vehicle's insurance cover.

Upon receiving the Motorhome, the hirer/driver acknowledges that it is clean, hygienic, and in proper working order, as per the motorhome check-in and check-out agreement. Family Motorhome Adventure will not refund any money if the vehicle is returned early or becomes unusable for any reason during the rental period, such as misuse, accidents, weather, theft, or damage caused by the user(s).

If the hirer/driver anticipates running late, they should inform Family Motorhome Adventure as soon as possible. Late returns without prior agreement will result in a charge of £50, and over 3 hours late will be charged at the daily rate of the vehicle. If late return incurs extra costs for the company, those costs will be passed on to the hirer/driver, deducted from the security deposit.

The hirer/driver agrees to use the Motorhome in a cautious, prudent, and normal manner, and not to cause damage. The vehicle should not be driven in prohibited areas, by individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or left in unsafe locations. It should not be left unlocked with the ignition key inside while unoccupied. Only authorized drivers should operate the vehicle.

The hirer/driver must carry only as many passengers as there are seat belts in the Motorhome. They are responsible for obtaining and using appropriate child or baby seats, and the fitting of such equipment is their sole responsibility.

In case of accidents or theft, the hirer/driver must report the incident to the police and Family Motorhome Adventure immediately. They should gather relevant information, including details of all parties involved and the incident itself. The hirer/driver is responsible for any excess or other amount due in case of damage, payable at the time of reporting the event.

In the event of breakdown, recovery or repair services will be provided. Minor repair bills up to £100 will be refunded upon providing a valid receipt. Repairs costing more than £100 must be authorized by the hirer before the work is done. The company is not liable for any costs arising from accidents, breakdowns, or any other cause. If the Motorhome breaks down, the hirer/driver must remain at a safe distance until the recovery vehicle arrives. The keys should be handed over to the recovery vehicle driver.

If there is any loss, damage, or theft of the Motorhome, its parts, or accessories while on rental, you will be liable to Family Motorhome Adventure for all losses and costs incurred.
